Muggles Abuzz
With a mere 2 1/2 weeks to go until the latest Harry Potter movie opens (July 13), the stars are beginning their promotion tours...and seriously, have you seen anything cuter today?!
Evanna looks so enamored of Rupert - "I can't believe I'm standing this close to him, and touching him, and we look so cute together...I just have to close my eyes and breathe it all in", and Emma's like "Step off my man, Katie...you may have gotten to kiss him in the latest film but I've known him longer and you won't be in the next one."
I love the way everybody looks here. I just want to hang out with them and talk about what's cool at Hogwarts these days.
Thanks to http://www.gofugyourself.com/ for the photo. If you want to laugh out loud, then check out this hilarious site mocking all of the silly things that those in Hollywood like to parade around in. I snorted my Earl Grey this morning when I came across this particular post, followed closely by the one about Ethan "Excellent Reading" Hawke.

Nothing starts the summer like a good old Salmon Bake
Last Thursday afternoon I skipped out of work two hours early with Mandy and Amiliah and drove up to LBC for the first Salmon Bake of the season. What a perfect way to spend the summer solstice. We parked in Mukilteo and walked onto the ferry...it was a beautiful day and not too cold to stand out on deck for the ride. It was so fun to see so many people who have known and loved me since childhood at the 50+ camp.
Here is my great-uncle Bob (waving) with my great-aunt Edie (so many people call her "Aunt Edie," but she really is my aunt) and my cousin Ruth looking off to the lake. Ever since Thursday and through church today I have really been pondering how wonderful it is to have such a heritage of people who love the Lord and how important family and true friendships are. I really believe that the friends I've made at LBC are the best I could ever hope for...there's something about that place that cements a relationship more quickly, more deeply, and more permanently than anywhere else I can think of. It kills me that I can't be up there for any length of time this summer past a day or two. It's more like home to me than anywhere else.

As long as one and one is two...
Happy Father's Day!!I'm gonna watch you shine,
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign,
So you'll always know...
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you.
Trust your intuition,
It's just like going fishing
You cast your line
And hope you'll get a bite.
But you don't need to waste your time
Worrying about the market place,
Try to help the human race
Struggling to survive its harshest night...
I'm gonna watch you shine,
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign,
So you'll always know...
As long as one and one is two,
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you!
