Last night Serrah and I continued our little Wes Anderson Film Festival with The Life Aquatic.
Things I didn't realize from the first time I saw it a couple of years ago (or had forgotten):*The heroic "Bond Company Stooge" taken hostage by pirates is played by Bud Cort, aka Harold from Harold and Maude
*The financier of Zissou's films is played by Michael Gambon, aka Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter 3, 4, and 5
*Anjelica Huston is one of the hottest women alive
*Jeff Goldblum is freaking hilarious
*Cate Blanchett's character wears Converse All-Stars throughout the movie (while Team Zissou prefers customized Adidas kicks)
*This movie is sad, disjointed, beautiful, and weird.
I do wish I could go on an expedition on the Belafonte. Perhaps to Antarctica?

our WAFF has been pretty amazing, if i do say so myself.
also, Bud Cort, who i didn't know from Harold and Baude has a brief appearance on Arrested Development during the Mock Trial with Judge Reinholt. They reference him as having a faux law show called Bud's Cort.
Rushmore? Soon.
And this film is wonderful. I love it to death.
