total eclipse of the moon

My dad and I stood on my parents' deck and watched it for a while. I felt about seven years old again. My absolute adoration for astronomy (hey check out that alliteration!) has been dormant for a while but I feel it stirring again lately. I can't wait for a warm evening when I can lay back and just drink in the stars, all their stories, let my eyes adjust to all of those small lights in the vast, infinite darkness of space. We saw Orion, Cassiopeia, Taurus, Ursa Major...too many neighborhood lights to see much more.

Yeah I wanted to see the eclipse but was kinda worn out when I got home, so I felt like a 70 year old man and took a nap until 5 this morning lol. Very cool pic of the nebula shaped as a heart for Valentines, and I guess my celebrity crush is Jessica Alba. Keep up the good work on you blog!

once again, another thing we have in common. i get so excited about these things. my dad used to wake me up in the middle of the night when i was young to go look at planets, stars, and other astronomical phenomenons. i didn't get to see the eclipse with my dad this time but it was still exciting and inspiring. we will have to star gaze up at camp this weekend.

Serrah, stargazing with you would be a movie moment! Let's, please.
